All residents should adhere to the below trash disposal policy, which augments the House Rules.
The board will issue a $10 fine to any resident who's a repeat offender of this policy. Violations create more work for our staff, which costs all of us money. So let's put our trash where it belongs!
All trash must be bagged and goes in the trash compartments in front of the building. If they're full, please reach out to building@7thstreetcoop.com.
Garbage is to be placed in the garbage bins that are marked with BLACK plastic markers around the handles.
Metal, Plastic and Glass should be placed in the recycling bins with BLUE plastic markers around the handles. Containers should be rinsed clean.
Paper and very small boxes, which have been broken down, should be placed in the recycling bins with Green plastic markers around the handles.
Cardboard should be broken down and placed in the cardboard recycling container in the basement of 248.
DO NOT leave cardboard tucked next to the trash cans in front.Â
DO NOT place cardboard in the paper recycling bins.
Large items are the responsibility of the shareholder to put out for pick up on the appropriate day or the night before after 6 pm. See link to see the NYC Sanitation pick up schedule. If you aren't sure what to do or can't make that drop-off, you can leave large items in the 248 basement near the Large Items sign.
